Frequently Asked Questions

Everything you need to know before handing over your rug. Can't find your answer? Call us — we're happy to chat.

How does collection and delivery work? Do you cover Dublin and all of Ireland?

We collect and deliver all over Ireland. We run regular routes to Dublin and collect throughout Munster, Leinster and beyond. Simply contact us to book a convenient time — we'll pick up your rug, clean it at our Douglas, Cork premises, and return it to you fresh and clean. Collection and delivery fees depend on your location; contact us for a quote.

How long does rug cleaning take?

Most rugs are cleaned and ready for collection within 5–7 working days. Heavily soiled rugs, intricate repairs, or items requiring extra drying time may take a little longer. We'll give you a realistic timeframe when you book, and we'll keep you updated along the way.

How is the price calculated? Can the price change after inspection?

Our pricing is based on the size and material of your rug. The prices shown on our pricing page are guidelines. Once we receive your rug and inspect it in person, we confirm the exact price and contact you before any work begins. You are never charged more than agreed — if anything changes, we discuss it with you first.

Can you clean silk, viscose, or antique rugs?

Yes — these are some of our most valued specialities. Pure silk, viscose, Tencel, and antique Persian rugs all require bespoke handling. We assess each one individually and use cleaning methods appropriate to the specific fibres and dyes. We'll ask you to send photos before providing a quote for these pieces.

Do you remove pet stains and odours?

Yes. Pet stains and odours are among the most common requests we handle. Our professional wet-wash process — combined with specialist deodorising treatments where needed — removes the source of the odour rather than masking it. Results depend on how long the stain has been set and the rug's material, and we'll give you an honest assessment.

Are my rugs insured while in your care?

Yes. Your rugs are fully insured while they are in our care, from the moment we collect them to the moment they are returned to you. We treat every piece as if it were our own — with 30 years of experience, we know how much rugs can mean to their owners.

Can I drop off my rug myself?

Absolutely. You're welcome to drop off your rug directly at our premises: 106 St Patrick's Woollen Mills, Douglas, Cork. We're open Monday to Saturday, 10:00–17:30. No appointment needed for drop-off, though calling ahead is always appreciated so we can be ready to receive you.

Still have a question?
