Every rug we clean goes through a multi-stage process tailored to its fibres and construction. We begin with a full pre-inspection and dry dusting to remove loose soil, then apply specialist cleaning agents appropriate for the specific material before a full immersion wash in our purpose-built facility at Douglas, Cork. Rugs are rinsed thoroughly, dried in a controlled environment, and given a final inspection before return.

Stain Removal & Spot Cleaning
Specialist treatment for coffee, wine, pet accidents, oil, and other stubborn stains — even ones that have been set for years.
Stain removal is as much a science as it is a skill. Different fibres react differently to different stain types and treatments. We identify the stain type and fibre composition before selecting the safest and most effective approach. Where possible, stains are treated as part of the full wash process. Heavily set stains may require pre-treatment and multiple stages.
We are always honest about what is achievable. Some stains — especially those that have been set with heat or treated incorrectly at home — may not be fully removable, and we will tell you that before we start rather than after.
Fringe Care & Restoration
Fringes are delicate and often the first part of a rug to show wear. We clean, re-attach, and restore fringes to their original condition.
Fringes are structurally part of the rug — they are extensions of the warp threads and carry the character of the piece. Matted, yellowed, or detached fringes are a very common problem, particularly on Persian and Oriental rugs. We clean fringes carefully by hand, reattach loose sections, and can replace severely damaged fringes with matching material where necessary.
Fringe care is typically included as part of a full rug clean, but we also handle fringe restoration as a standalone service.
Colour Enhancement
Restore faded or washed-out colours to bring dull rugs back to life without altering the original design.
Over time, even quality rugs can lose their vibrancy through UV exposure, heavy foot traffic, and previous improper cleaning. Our colour enhancement process carefully revives faded tones using specialist dyes that are matched to the original colour palette. The process is applied by hand and requires skill and experience to ensure even coverage and colour accuracy.
This is especially popular for Persian and Oriental rugs where the richness of the colour is integral to the piece's value and beauty.
Repairs & Restoration
From re-binding edges to re-weaving damaged sections — we repair rugs that others say can't be fixed.
With 30 years of experience, we have restored rugs that customers were ready to throw away. Our repair services include edge re-binding and whipping to prevent further unravelling, re-weaving of holes and worn areas, re-knotting on hand-knotted pile rugs, and moth damage repair. Each repair is assessed individually and carried out by hand to match the original construction as closely as possible.
We will always give you an honest assessment of whether a repair is economically worthwhile relative to the rug's value — sentimental or otherwise.

Collection & Delivery
Nationwide collection and delivery, with regular runs to Dublin. We come to you — no lugging heavy rugs to a depot.
We collect and deliver all over Ireland. Regular collection routes cover Cork, Dublin, Munster and Leinster, and we arrange collections to other areas by appointment. When we collect your rug we will inspect it briefly with you, agree the expected cost, and confirm a return date. Your rug will be returned cleaned, wrapped, and ready to go straight back on the floor.
For customers in Cork and the surrounding area, collection and delivery is typically available within a few working days. Dublin and other national runs take place regularly — contact us to find out the next available date for your area.
